The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has charged Young Apostles CEO, Sammy Anim Addo, with misconduct following his recent social media outburst criticizing officiating in the Ghana Premier League.

Anim Addo, a former Executive Council member, accused referee Maxwell Hanson of being the GFA's "man for dirty works" in response to complaints from Accra Lions over Hanson's performance during their 1-0 loss to Dreams FC.

In addition, Anim alleged that the GFA had threatened to ensure his team, Young Apostles, would be relegated after he raised concerns about poor officiating in the league.

The GFA's Disciplinary Committee stated in a release that his remarks on X (formerly Twitter) constituted misconduct and brought the reputation of the league into disrepute.
