Samuel Anim Addo, former Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council member, has been charged with a breach of the GFA Ghana Premier League Regulations following his recent comments on social media platform X.
The GFA has accused Anim Addo of misconduct, claiming his commentary brought the name of the Association and the Ghana Premier League into disrepute.
The charges, outlined under Articles 34(6)(d) and 38(8)(c) of the GFA Ghana Premier League Regulations, relate to statements Anim Addo made accusing a match official of inappropriate conduct during a game between Accra Lions and Dreams FC.
Anim Addo alleged that referee Maxwell Hanson had been used for "dirty work," referring to the official as a "hatchet man." His comments also included accusations against the GFA's involvement, claiming the Association had silenced him for raising concerns about poor officiating.
