On January 8, 2025, Los Angeles faced one of its most devastating wildfires in history.

The fires, fueled by powerful Santa Ana winds, spread rapidly across the city, engulfing iconic landmarks and forcing thousands of residents to evacuate.

The Palisades Fire, which started in Pacific Palisades, quickly grew to over 17,000 acres, while the Eaton Fire near Pasadena burned more than 10,600 acres.

The combined impact of these fires has been catastrophic, with at least five lives lost and over 1,000 homes destroyed.
