Former Ashanti Regional minister, Samuel Sarpong, has revealed that prior to the 2024 general elections, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, offered President a book containing the developmental agenda of the Ashanti region to guide him in his administration.
According to Sarpong, the manifesto was presented when Mahama paid a courtesy call on the Asantehene during his campaign period.
Sarpong explained that Otumfuo had high hopes for Mahama winning the elections, hence the book was given to him to prepare ahead in terms of how he would develop the region.
He also added that Mahama would prioritize all projects in the Ashanti region that the outgoing government under former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo could not complete.
