A group of young men, believed to be supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), stormed the New Juaben South Municipal Assembly on Wednesday, January 8, 2025.
They reportedly locked the offices of the Municipal Directors of the National Identification Authority (NIA), National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), National Service Secretariat (NSS), and the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA).
The group later moved to the regional offices of these institutions, attempting similar actions.
Although no violence was recorded, staff members were reportedly left traumatized by the events.
