Didier Deschamps, France's World Cup-winning manager, has announced that he will step down after the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The 56-year-old, who has been in charge of Les Bleus since 2012, is the country's longest-serving coach.
Deschamps guided France to their second World Cup triumph in 2018, defeating Croatia 4-2 in the final in Russia.
He also led the team to the Euro 2016 final on home soil and the 2022 World Cup final in Qatar, where they lost to Argentina on penalties after a thrilling 3-3 draw.
