Speaker of Parliament, , has pledged to ensure that the governing (NDC) remains focused on the national interest, emphasising the party's significant majority in Parliament.

With over 180 seats, the NDC holds a historic majority, making the 9th Parliament a pivotal challenge in Ghana's political landscape.

Speaking to journalists after President John Dramani Mahama's inauguration on Tuesday, January 7, Bagbin acknowledged the weight of the NDC's dominance in Parliament, noting that while it presents an opportunity, it also comes with its challenges.

He stressed that the collective interests of all Ghanaians-regardless of political affiliation, whether NDC, NPP, PNC, or independent-should take precedence.
