A 51-year-old driver, Abukari Siedu, narrowly escaped death after being attacked by armed robbers on the Dambai-Asukawkaw road last night.
The incident occurred between Yabram and Anyabor No. 2, two farming communities near Dambai, on Sunday at about 0130 hours.
Philip Kwadwo Bidaba, the Assembly member of Kwame-Akura East Electoral Area, confirmed the robbery to the Ghana News Agency (GNA).
Siedu was driving a Kia Rhino with registration number GE 6139-10, loaded with yams, from Borae in the Krachi Nchumuru District to Accra when the robbers struck.
