Two people have been killed in a robbery attack at Wallembelle in the Sissala East municipality of the Upper West region. The incident occurred on Saturday, August 17 at about 7:00 pm after four gunmen attacked and robbed a mobile money vendor in the village. Reports indicate that the robbers who were on two motorbikes ransacked the mobile money shop amidst sporadic gunshots and took away an unspecified amount of money. A survivor of the robbery attack who pleaded anonymity explained that after the attack on them, two of the robbers could not start their motorbike and decided to escape. Realising the situation, one of the deceased, Tordia Munkailu decided to raise the alarm and gave them a hot chase.
