Ghana's 8th Parliament of the Fourth Republic will officially dissolve today, January 6, 2025, marking the end of its four-year legislative term, which began on January 7, 2021.

This transition ushers in the 9th Parliament and highlights another milestone in Ghana's democratic journey.

The dissolution ceremony will take place during a final sitting, presided over by the Speaker of Parliament, the Right Honourable Alban Bagbin.

Members of Parliament will conclude all pending legislative business and bid farewell to the chamber as their term concludes.
