In a thrilling conclusion to this year's Literacy Challenge, Frederick Lokko of Covenant Presby Preparatory School was crowned the 2024 champion. The announcement sent waves of excitement through the audience, with Frederick's mother overcome with emotion, lying prostrate in joy as her son's name was called. The Literacy Challenge, organized by Citi FM and Channel One TV, kicked off on May 16, 2024, with the goal of recognizing and rewarding Ghana's brightest young minds. The competition offered a grand prize of GH¢10,000, a trophy, and a variety of other exciting rewards to the most outstanding student. This year's challenge drew over 1,000 entries from Junior High School students across the country, all submitting essays on the topic, "The role of the youth in shaping the future of Ghana.
