Sudan's head coach, James Kwesi Appiah, has expressed his ambition to win the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.

The Ghanaian tactician guided Sudan to qualification under challenging circumstances, as the team played all their home games away due to the ongoing civil war.

Despite the adversity, Sudan showcased resilience and determination, securing a place in the tournament at the expense of Ghana, from whom they claimed four points in the qualifiers. "Winning the trophy is my goal," Appiah said in an interview with Akoma FM. "By God's grace, we have qualified.

We will prepare thoroughly to ensure we have a strong team before the AFCON.
