Head of sporting affairs at Asante Kotoko Kwesi Appiah has called on the club to win the Ghana Premier League (GPL) title as a tribute to Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
The Asantehene, who is the club's life patron, has been the key financier since the 2023/24 season.
Kotoko had a mixed start to the 2024/25 season, opening with a victory against Karela but losing four consecutive matches.
However, the team has bounced back strongly, winning four of their last five games and drawing one.
