The 2024 flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama is urging the Electoral Commission to expedite the release of the provisional voter's register before the upcoming exhibition exercise. According to him, the Commission had requested political parties to submit their external drives for the register back in July but has not yet provided it. Dr Boamah expressed concerns about the EC's handling of the process, accusing the Commission of delaying the register's release. In a Facebook post on Wednesday, August 14, Dr Boamah criticized the EC for what he described as incompetence, alleging that the delay was a deliberate attempt to provide political parties with a substandard register.
