According to a report by Asaase Radio, aggrieved youth of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ahafo Ano South West constituency of the Ashanti Region have turned their fury against their party.
On Sunday afternoon, tensions boiled over in Mankranso, the district capital, as the party's office became the target of their wrath.
The protest saw a television, chairs, and other party assets being vandalized, leaving a trail of destruction that speaks to the simmering frustrations among party supporters.
The youth, visibly enraged, accuse the NDC leadership of betraying their parliamentary candidate, Sedik Abubakar, in what they believe was a stolen victory. "We know Sedik won, but the leadership handed the seat to the NPP on a silver platter," one protester reportedly exclaimed, as others echoed sentiments of distrust and disillusionment.
