Kwesi Prempeh, Executive Director of the Centre for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana) is of the view that the President-elect, shouldn't have openly endorsed Speaker Bagbin for the Speakership position of the 9th Parliament.
He is of the view that the letter from the office of the president-elect announcing his endorsement of Alban Sumana Bagbin should rather have come from Members of Parliament.
After which the president-elect would have been able to freely announce his endorsement of his choice.
