The Member of Parliament-Elect for the Lawra Constituency, Bede Anwataazumo Ziedeng, has shared his frustrations with certain media outlets in the area, revealing how their refusal to support his campaign efforts during the 2024 elections almost derailed his bid for Parliament.
Ziedeng expressed his dismay at the lack of support from some radio stations that he believed could have helped amplify his message during an interview with Nandom FM. "West Link FM is still not fully established, they have issues with their reach and coverage area, so if I go there to speak, some people may not get the information I'm trying to put across," Ziedeng explained, indicating his concerns about the station's limited broadcast range.
Despite recognizing the potential challenges, Ziedeng remained optimistic about other media avenues where he could effectively reach his constituents.
However, his frustration reached a boiling point when he spoke about his experiences with Tideltaa FM, another local radio station. "I have not been invited to Tideltaa FM before," he noted, revealing the extent of his struggles in gaining media access. "I even send money to buy airtime, and they reject my money.
