Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has successfully retained his parliamentary seat for Techiman South following a re-collation of votes conducted at the Electoral Commission's (EC) regional office in Accra.
The re-collation was prompted by disputes over the initial results of the Techiman South constituency, which had sparked widespread attention and debate among political parties and the general public.
After a thorough review of the ballots, the Electoral Commission reaffirmed Korsah's victory with a decisive margin.
He secured 46,663 votes, defeating Christopher Beyere Basongti of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), who polled 43,429 votes.
