The former Majority Leader of parliament and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Suame Constituency, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu has disclosed how the Member of Parliament (MP) for Asutifi South, Collins Dauda encouraged him to learn parliament's standing orders and other laws. Hon Kyei Mensah-Bonsu disclosed in an interview on Kumasi-based Abusua FM that some lawmakers used to scare them with "standing orders" so he decided to learn what it entails. He mentioned how Collins Dauda also inspired him to learn the parliament's standing orders after encountering him in parliament in the 90s. Kyei Mensah-Bonsu recounted how his friendship with Collins Dauda began in the 80s and how he impacted his life. The veteran lawmaker disclosed how shocked he was to have met Collins Dauda in parliament and how he used to chair the committee perfectly and also recited all the laws effortlessly although his educational background was poor.
