The (NPP) Caucus in Parliament has alleged that some key members of the (NDC) orchestrated acts of violence by inciting thugs to destabilize public safety.

According to the Deputy Majority Leader Patricia Appiagyei, intelligence reports suggest that Totobi Quakyi and Colonel (Rtd) Larry Gbevlo-Lartey are at the forefront of these activities, which are said to be aimed at targeting innocent Ghanaians.

The accusations follow President-elect John Mahama's appointment of Quakyi and Gbevlo-Lartey to an interim team to oversee national security matters pending the appointment of permanent officials.

The Deputy Majority Leader Patricia Appiagyei speaking during a press briefing in Accra expressed concerns about the potential escalation of these alleged violent acts. "We have received reliable intelligence indicating that acts of violence and the use of thugs are being orchestrated by certain elements of the NDC leadership.
