A Midwifery Officer at the Lying-in Ward of the Eastern Regional Hospital in Koforidua, Richlove Kyerewaah Yeboah, has urged nursing mothers to embrace exclusive breastfeeding and adhere to essential postnatal care practices.
In an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Ms.
Yeboah emphasized the significance of exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months, highlighting its importance for infant health.
She explained that the delicate digestive systems of newborns are not equipped to handle solid foods, which could expose them to increased health risks.
