Traders from Kantamanto Market, who were affected by the devastating fire on January 2, 2025, confronted and chased away several Chinese nationals from the scene of the incident.
Eyewitnesses reported that three Chinese nationals arrived at the site with heavy machinery, including excavators, in what appeared to be an attempt to demolish the area after the fire.
In a video circulating online, traders, still reeling from the disaster and assessing their losses, grew visibly angry at the presence of the Chinese nationals.
They gathered in large numbers, hooting and shaming them as they chased them away from the scene.
