Director of Elections and IT for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr Edward Omane Boamah, has criticised the status of the Agenda 111 hospital projects initiated under President Nana Akufo-Addo's administration.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, 4th January 2025, Dr Boamah stated that none of the hospitals are currently functional, despite significant resources being allocated to the initiative.
He also highlighted the need for an estimated $1.4 billion to complete the projects.
Dr Boamah's remarks followed President Akufo-Addo's final State of the Nation Address (SONA), delivered on Friday, 3rd January, 2025, in which the President underscored the transformative potential of the Agenda 111 initiative, describing it as a cornerstone of Ghana's healthcare development.
