The Ministry of National Security has issued a directive prohibiting the operation of drones during the presidential inaugural ceremony scheduled for January 7, 2025.

The restriction will be strictly enforced at Black Star Square and surrounding areas, ensuring the safety and security of dignitaries, guests, and the public.

In a statement issued on Thursday, January 2, the Ministry said the directive applies to all types of drones, including recreational and commercial devices.

This measure is part of heightened security protocols for the high-profile event, which will be attended by national and international figures, the statement said.
