The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana has called on the Accra High Court to intervene decisively in the collation process for the Tema Central Constituency to safeguard the integrity of the nation's electoral process.

Through its legal team, led by Justin Amenuvor, the EC urged the court to issue orders enabling it to complete the collation of election results in adherence to the Constitutional Instrument (C.I. 127), which governs electoral processes in Ghana.

Justin Amenuvor argued passionately about the potential dangers of failing to uphold proper electoral procedures. "If this court does not make the appropriate orders for the EC to go and finish its work in the presence of the very limited number of persons outlined in the Constitutional Instrument (C.I. 127), a dangerous precedent for our democracy will be set," he stated.

He warned of the chaos that could ensue if unauthorized individuals were allowed to interfere with collation centers. "All manner of thugs and hoodlums will evade constituency collation centers and, even without the appropriate forms prescribed in the C.I.
