The Electoral Commission of Ghana has clarified the controversies surrounding the December 2020 general elections in the Dome-Kwabenya constituency.

Anomalies in the electoral data, including incorrect votes and votes from unapproved polling stations, have raised questions about the authenticity of the election results.

Preliminary investigations reveal that human errors, including an inadequate biometric registration system and inefficient electoral equipment, contributed to the irregularities.

Furthermore, there were cases of impersonation, as individuals claimed to have voted in different constituencies.
