Daniel Kwaku Botwe, outgoing Member of Parliament for Okere has been honoured as 'Nkosuohene' (Development Chief) of Akuapem.
The honour is recognition of his hard work, integrity and honour brought to the people of Akuapem throughout his political life and particularly as the MP for Okere.
The Chiefs and people of Akuapem traditional area bestowed the title on him during the annual Odwira durbar of the Akuapem Nifa division at Adukrom.
Osuodumgya Otutu Ababio, Akuapem Nifahene and Chief of Adukrom who spoke on behalf of Oseadeyo Kwasi Akuffo, the Okuapehene said: "The whole of Akuapem is impressed with your hard work and selfless service to Ghana." He said the move was for the Akuapem traditional area to tap into his vast experience in politics, selfless service, development, and mobilization as he retired from Parliament, come January 2025.
