Introduction On Wednesday, December 18, 2024, President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo approved and announced visa-free entry to Ghana for all African passport holders, effective 2025.
This is a landmark policy aimed at enhancing African integration and cooperation.
By facilitating the free movement of people in the African continent, this policy is closely aligned with the African Union's (AU) Agenda 2063, which envisions a united and prosperous Africa.
Among its flagship projects is the creation of a Continental Free Trade Area, which includes not only the free flow of goods and services but also the mobility of people as a pillar of economic integration.
