As Ghana transitions from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government, some leading members of the NDC are reminding Ghanaians of the fact that former President John Dramani Mahama was not provided with his entitlements.

An interview of the now president-elect, John Dramani Mahama, complaining about the failure of the government to provide him with an office space and a residence and to pay his bills has resurfaced on especially social media.

It is not clear why the discussion of emoluments deserved by former Presidents has come up at this particular point in time.

Deputy Campaign Spokesperson for the John Dramani Mahama campaign, Beatrice Annan has continuously reminded her followers of the fact that president John Dramani Mahama even though was due some payments and other emoluments, the government led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo refused to fulfil them.
