Benjamin Azamati, Ghana's national 100m record holder, has set his sights on achieving success in the upcoming track season.

The major highlight of the 26-year-old sprinter's season was at the Olympic Games, where he managed to reach the semi-final, becoming the first Ghanaian to attain that feat since 2004 before he was later joined by Abdul Rasheed Saminu to share in that record.

However, 2024 proved to be a difficult season for the Ghanaian who earned an Olympic ticket via ranking, failing to break the 10s barrier.

Azamati last broke 10s a little over two years ago, and in his bid to recapture the spark that led him to become Ghana's fastest man after running 9.90s in 2022, the former University of Ghana athlete decided to make alterations to his immediate environment.
