Reverend Samuel Amegboe, Awudome Tsito Area Head of Assemblies of God Church, has bemoaned the inappropriate conducts and behaviours during Christmas. "Christmas is now characterised by excessive revelry as well as immoral and unethical acts even by Christians," he said.

Amegboe said this at the end of a week-long revival to mark the Christmas festivities at Awudome Tsito in the Ho West district.
He stated that Christmas should instead be a demonstration of man's reciprocal love of God towards humanity rather than engaging in the very things that necessitated the birth of the Saviour. "The sinful and depraved condition of man called for a saviour as no human was worthy enough to redeem the human race," he noted.
