The New Patriotic Party (NPP) constituency executives in Yendi, led by Chairman Alhaji Baba Gazali, have revoked the membership of 184 individuals over alleged violations of the party's constitution.
Speaking to Channel One News, Alhaji Gazali confirmed that the decision to suspend or expel the members was made unanimously by the party executives and the Council of Elders.
According to the chairman, the expelled members were found to have supported an independent candidate or rival political parties against the NPP's official candidate during the just-ended elections.
Others were accused of refusing to collaborate with the party during the campaign period.
