A former flagbearer hopeful has made a strong appeal to Ghanaians to retain his party in power come December 7, 2024. According to the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, the NPP remaining in power is critical to the nation's stability. The MP, who made these remarks at a campaign event of the running mate of the NPP, (NAPO), at Konongo in the Ashanti Region, urged Ghanaians to pray that his party remains in power. "When you go on your knees, pray for these leaders and the NPP so that they would be in power for long for Ghana to have stability," he said in Twi. He indicated that even though times are hard, the NPP has done well with the implementation of the Free Senior High policy. "Even if you had money in your pockets, you would have used it to pay your children's school fees. Even though today you don't have the money to pay for your children's school fees, you have to ask yourself what your children's future looks like. "Some people came to power and said they were implementing Free SHS, they were giving GH¢38.
