In the aftermath of the 2024 elections, Ohene Kwame Frimpong, the newly elected Member of Parliament for Asante Akyem North, has shared thoughts about the state of Ghana's democracy.
In a recent interview on Asempa FM, Frimpong shared his reflections on the changing nature of the country's political landscape, pointing out that voters today are more discerning and engaged than ever before. "No parliamentary seat is secure anymore," Frimpong said, noting that the results of the 2024 elections clearly show that the electorate is becoming increasingly sophisticated.
He explained that Ghanaian voters are no longer easily influenced by traditional political promises, and that's a sign of a more mature democracy. "Ghanaian voters are now enlightened and sophisticated.
Nobody can deceive any voter," he emphasized, reflecting on how the electorate is now making more informed decisions at the polls.
