President Akufo-Addo has called on the security forces to take a firm stance against any acts of violence that threaten the peace and stability of the country following the 2024 general elections.

The President noted that the pursuit of political power must always be rooted in service to the people, and not in the use of force or intimidation.

Addressing the nation on December 24 while delivering his final Christmas message, President Akufo-Addo stressed that the peace of the nation is sacred and must never be compromised for political ambition.

He added that the Rule of Law will always prevail, regardless of any challenges. "Let us never forget, the seeking power is not a call to arms, but rather a call to service those who might contemplate using violence to achieve their aims.
