The Chinese community in Ghana in collaboration with UNESCO Ghana, have donated items worth Four hundred and fifty thousand Ghana cedis, to Motherly Love Orphanage, in Accra, a facility that takes care of HIV positive orphans who have lost their parents to HIV, and have contracted the virus themselves.

The donation, according to donors, aims to enhance the children's health and education, improve the living conditions at the orphanage, and help them embrace a brighter future.

Among the items donated are medical supplies, school materials, fridge and chest freezer, a 55-inch television, computers, food items including, 10 bags of rice, 10 boxes of cooking oil, biscuits, drinks, nutritional supplements, clothing, 70 mattresses, 30 boxes each of laundry detergent, soap, wipes, and sanitary pads.

The "Love in Action" charity project brought together the efforts of China and the international community including the Chinese community in Ghana, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization UNESCO-Ghana, and a team of Chinese doctors to provide substantial support and heartfelt care for the children of Motherly Love Orphanage for the past year.
