Education Minister Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum has announced that the results of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) will be released by December 29.

This assurance comes after a visit to the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) offices in Accra on Tuesday, December 24, where he observed the ongoing work to finalise the results. "This morning, we visited WAEC, and we have been taken around and they are working and by December 29 or before, the results of our exams will be out so that the universities can go about their job of making sure our students will also be given admission to pursue their various degree and diploma programmes," Dr Adutwum stated.

Accompanied by the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service, Dr Adutwum expressed satisfaction with the level of preparation and the dedication of WAEC staff. "I was here with the Director-General of Ghana Education Service, and we are satisfied with the level of preparation and the work being done by WAEC, and we are grateful for their service and for the fact that even during this break, they have staff here working around the clock to ensure that the results will be released for our students to continue with their education," he added.
