President-elect John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his deep connection to agriculture, emphasizing that farming will take center stage in his life upon retirement.
During a visit to his expansive farm in Yapei and Busunu in the Savannah Region, Mahama shared his vision for a full-time agricultural career, reflecting on his passion for farming and its integral role in his life. "Farming is my life.
I love it, and I'm sure if I didn't go into politics, I would have been a full-time farmer," he revealed. "In any case, when I retire, after this stint, of course, I'm going to go into full-time farming.
If you want to see me, you'll have to come to the farm." In a short documentary, the incoming President noted that he has grown his livestock enterprise from 300 goats and other small ruminants to nearly 500, with an additional 200 animals recently acquired.
