Nandaya Yaw Stanley, the Member of Parliament-elect for Wulensi, has stated that his constituents will decide whether he joins the National Democratic Congress (NDC) or the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the ninth parliament.
Stanley, who ran as an independent candidate in an interview on the Point of View (PoV) on Channel One TV on Monday emphasised his long-standing association with the NDC but highlighted the importance of consulting with his constituents before making any decisions. "I am actually NDC.
I have been NDC and my last primary I actually didn't get it right and I said no I have to go this way and that is why I went independent," Stanley explained.
Stanley stressed the need for wider consultation with the people who voted for him before deciding which side to align with in Parliament. "The power belongs to the people.
