It appears the ruling has started the much-talked about house cleaning after the massive defeat it suffered in the just-ended December 7, 2024, general election.

The party has expelled 280 of its members in the Agona West Constituency in the Central Region.

A notice of the expulsion addressed to the General Secretary of the party, Justin Frimpong Kodua (JFK), which was issued by NPP Agona West Constituency chairman Alhaji Gibrine Tanko, indicated that 280 people forfeited their membership in the course of the 2024 general election by engaging in anti-party behaviours. "The decision follows several complaints received from other party members against the said persons for: Standing as an independent candidate against the officially elected parliamentary candidate of the Party.
