The Western Region's twin city, Sekondi-Takoradi is abuzz with excitement as it prepares for the highly anticipated Masquerade Festival, dubbed 'Taadi Bronya.' Western Regional Minister Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah has assured revelers that the city is committed to providing a safe environment for all.

Sekondi-Takoradi is gradually becoming popular during Christmas due to its Masqueraders' parades from December 25 to January 1.

This vibrant event is a showcase of the city's rich cultural heritage, featuring dozens of masquerade groups dressed in elaborate costumes, accompanied by lively brass band music and energetic dancing.

The Western Regional Branch of the Ghana Tourism Authority, in collaboration with the Western Regional Coordinating Council and the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly, has officially opened the city to tourists for this year's December masquerade gatherings.
