Former Rector of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Professor Stephen Adei has told the incoming Mahama administration to maintain the e-levy.

He argues that it is very important to introduce or maintain taxes that are easy to collect in Ghana.

The e-levy, he said, is one of the taxes that are easy to collect in Ghana hence his call to keep it.

It is recalled that ahead of the 2024 general elections, National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate John Dramani Mahama promised to scrap several taxes within his first 100 days in office, arguing that these taxes burdened Ghanaians.
