Bayer Leverkusen and Netherlands defender Jeremie Frimpong says he is pleased to have arrived in Ghana for the first time on Sunday night.
Earlier in December, Frimpong, whose parents are from Ghana, made no secret of his desire to visit the country of his parents after Bayer Leverkusen beat Inter Milan in the Champions League, revealing he was going to visit Ghana soon.
On Sunday night, the defender touched down at the Kotoka International Airport as part of a one-week holiday trip, as he was swamped upon his arrival. "This is my people, I'm so happy to be in Ghana" Jeremie Frimpong says he is excited to be in Ghana after he touched down on Sunday night.
Although he plays for the Dutch team, Frimpong has Ghanaian roots.
