The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ablekuma North Constituency has insisted that the initial declaration of their candidate, Ewura Abena Aubyn, as the Member of Parliament-elect remains valid, despite the Electoral Commission's (EC) nullification of results for the constituency.
The EC nullified earlier declarations in Ablekuma North and eight other constituencies following disputes raised by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
As part of the resolution process, a re-collation exercise was conducted on Saturday, December 21, at the Regional Collation Centre.
Out of the nine constituencies, seven were declared in favour of the NPP, leaving Ablekuma North and another constituency without declared winners.
