The Member of Parliament for South Dayi, Rockson-Nelson Etse Kwami Dafeamekpor, has sharply rebuked the Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, in the wake of the Electoral Commission's declaration of seven out of nine contested parliamentary seats in favour of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Speaking on TV3 on Saturday, 21 December, during the re-collation process at the EC's Greater Accra regional office, Mr Dafeamekpor accused the NPP of political manipulation to secure a parliamentary majority.
He described the actions of the Majority Leader and his party as a blatant disregard for legal proceedings. "When a matter is in court, don't you respect the judicial process?
Today, Afenyo is holding a press conference, praising the outcomes of exercises that are still pending before the Supreme Court.
