Elvis Osei Mensah Dapaah, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate for Ahafo Ano South West, has been officially declared the winner of the parliamentary election following a court-ordered recount of votes.
The recount, conducted under the supervision of the Electoral Commission (EC), confirmed Dapaah's victory with 16,680 votes.
His closest contender, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, received 16,540 votes, making the contest one of the tightest in the constituency's history.
Background The recount was initiated after the NDC raised concerns over alleged irregularities in the initial collation process.
