Heavy security has been deployed at the Electoral Commission's (EC) Regional Office at Ridge in Accra as the re-collation of results for nine disputed constituencies resumes.

The exercise is taking place in the absence of representatives from the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The High Court, on December 20, directed the EC to re-collate and announce results for the Ablekuma North and Nsawam-Adoagyiri constituencies, nullifying earlier declarations.

The ruling was part of a judicial review initiated by six dissatisfied New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidates.
