Ghanaian journalist and businessman Raymond Acher has firmly rejected allegations that the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) initiative, launched by President-elect John Dramani Mahama, is designed to target political rivals unfairly.

According to Archer, the initiative is solely focused on recovering misappropriated funds from the outgoing administration to ease the economic burdens on Ghanaians.

Speaking in an interview on Lawson FM, Acher addressed circulating rumours that some committee members, including Kofi Boakye and himself, may have personal vendettas fueling their roles. "Kofi Boakye has been accused of having personal issues with NPP Chairman Wontumi, and others have pointed fingers at me because of the challenges my business faced under the outgoing government," Acher stated. "But let me be clear: this committee is not a tool for revenge.

Our mandate is strictly investigative-to uncover any funds that were misappropriated and to report our findings to the appropriate governmental bodies." Acher stressed that the ORAL initiative is a reflection of Mahama's commitment to good governance and accountability. "The President-elect made it clear that this effort isn't about targeting individuals or political retribution.
