President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Add has touted his achievement in the health sector. This was after he commissioned the rehabilitated and refurbished Bolgatanga Regional Hospital, a state-of-the-art facility on Thursday, August 15. Mr Akufo-Addo said that the regional hospital symbolized his government's unwavering commitment to providing quality healthcare for every Ghanaian. This modern hospital, equipped with advanced medical infrastructure including a new mothers' hostel, staff accommodation, and a cutting-edge medical gas building, is poised to meet the growing healthcare needs of the Upper East Region. "I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Saudi Government for their generous support through a $52 million concessional loan from the Saudi Fund for Development. This vital partnership has been instrumental in transforming the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital into a centre of excellence, reflecting the strong and fruitful relationship between our two countries. "Throughout my administration, we have made significant strides in the health sector, including the recruitment of over 202,000 healthcare professionals, revitalizing the National Health Insurance Scheme, and expanding our hospital infrastructure nationwide. "As we celebrate the commissioning of this hospital, I encourage the community to take pride in this achievement and work together to ensure its continued success, as we strive to build a healthier and stronger Ghana for all," the president wrote on his Facebook page after the commissioning exercise.
