A planned march to pressure the Electoral Commission (EC) to declare the parliamentary results for the Techiman South Constituency has been cancelled due to the unavailability of police personnel.
The march was aimed at demanding the declaration of results, which had been halted following alleged misconduct by some NDC supporters at the divisional police command where the collation was taking place.
Reports indicate that the alleged misconduct involved burning pink sheets and ballot papers, damaging EC materials, and holding journalists hostage.
The situation escalated to the point where the incumbent MP had to hide in a washroom.
